The new version of the Australian citizenship test, launched by the Australian government on October 19, 2009, is based on the manual called "Australian citizenship: A Common Bond". The new manual contains two sections. You will be only tested on the first section. It contains 20 pages and is divided in three chapters: Australia and its people; Australia's democratic beliefs, rights and liberties; and Government & the law in Australia. Only these 20 pages contain information that can come up in the citizenship exam. The second, non-testable section, is about Australian history, culture, sport, economy, and more.

While the testable material is now quite limited, the conditions of the test have changed too. Before, you would still pass the test if you had 40% wrong answers, or 8 out of 20. Now you are allowed only 5 mistakes.

Our Basic Kit contains 200 questions and Complete Kit - 400 practice questions. We only offer questions that have a high probability of being asked. More than 400 questions would only mean useless work for you. Our Complete Kit also offers "Express Training": we selected just 100 questions - approximately 5 for each required page of the manual - that are extremely important and are most likely to show up in your citizenship test.

The best way to prepare is to take a Simulated Test first; our Advanced Result Analysis will immediately show your weaknesses and strengths. For example, if you see that most of your mistakes come from Chapter 2, you may want to review that chapter in more detail.

AustralianTest offers a 100% Money Back Guarantee in case of failed test. Our training system is efficient and easy to use. You can start practicing immediately: your access key is delivered instantly to your email or your mobile phone. From our statistics we know that most people need 3-4 hours to complete our training. Our goal is to prepare you for the test quickly and easily. Hundreds of new Australians took our training and successfully passed their citizenship test.

High government is not really needed, but some history is and so is geography. Rights and responsibilities are a must for the test. But some fun optional questions about Australian foods, sports, music and cultural icons and events would also be good so the government can work out how well people are adapting to the Australian culture and lifestyle.

I agree, but also some other questions could be included as optional to help the gov assess just how many people have immersed themselves into the Australian lifestyle and culture. Just easy things like foods, music, sports and public holidays for different states.

If there has to be a test it should be much easier.I agree with the person who said if you have lived here 20yrs you should not have to take one at all as long as you came here legally.I think if you have lived in Australia that long you have more than proved your allegation to the way of life, the laws and the constitution.
